General Information:Name: Bjørn
Age & Gender: 18 years old, male
Location/Timezone: Norway, GMT +1
Can you attend our four scheduled raids (Wed, Fri, Sun and Monday 20.00-23.00)? I'm afraid not, but 2 or 3 raids a week should be doable. At least for the moment; I might attend all four later.
Occupation: Electrician apprentice, also called errand runner
Tell us a little about yourself: I'm categorized in between the 'WoW Geek' and the 'Training Fanatic', and I usually spend half my free time exercising and the other half playing WoW, and the third half eating and sleeping. I'm a fairly nice guy that enjoys a good joke, but I can be serious if I want/have to (most likely the last). My social life is nearly nonexistant, as all my friends also play WoW, but I'm able to behave like a normal person. Whatever a normal person is, of course.
Character InformationCharacter Name: Catria
Class: Warrior
Armory Link:
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Bladefist&cn=CatriaTotal time /played on this character: 71 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes at 1st of March 09.50 pm.
How long did you take to level from 70-80?: I think it was around... 3-4 days played, maybe? I knew I should have written it down...
List and describe any gear sets for other specs that you possess: I have a half tank set with itemlevel 200-226 items, as well as a full PvP set with Deadly/Hateful items. I can also respec Fury at any given time, as soon as I acquire another decent two-hand weapon. As a side note, I'm sitting at 435 hit rating, which is lightyears above the Arms hit cap, so in my current gear Fury would seem like the way to go.
Do you have any reasonably geared alts that you are prepared to play as well? List & describe them here: No Alliance alts at 80 right now, but I'm transfering my protection warrior here soon. I'm also leveling a shaman and a paladin in between.
Describe your role in a raid - and go into detail; this is your chance to demonstrate to us that you know your class: In a typical raid, I'm the guy that deals with two raid buffs, namely 30% extra bleed damage (also applied by Ferals) and 4% increased physical damage (also applied by Combat rogues). If the tank isn't a warrior, I also apply Sunder Armour. I apply Mortal Strike regularly (every 5 seconds or so), and Demoralizing Shout if needed. I've saved several healers and cloth damage dealers from incoming adds too, through Intervene - though this usually leads to myself dying. Nothing wrong with the protective instincts, in other words.
Raiding InformationPrevious Raid Experience (guilds, ranks/roles, and content cleared - include Vanilla/TBC if relevant): I've formerly been in Fifth Column and Anathema, and raided Karazhan, Naxxramas WLK-version, Ulduar, Trial of the Crusader and Icecrown Citadel, and also healed Naxxramas 25, Ulduar 10 and Trial of the Crusader 10 and 25 as a Holy Paladin.
Reason for Leaving your current guild. If you are leaving on good terms, give us the names of anyone who could vouch for you:
I have been guildless since Anathema disbanded, and other former members of Anathema can probably give you a hint of how I'm doing.
Link to any recent combat parses (WMO, WoL, etc):
My target dummy damage per second is around 5,2k single target. Depending on the fight, my damage per second varies between 4,5k and 6,5k. I'm actually not sure about my raid damage, because I haven't raided in my current gear, but in Heroics and on target dummies I'm able to do around 5,2k to 5,5k.
Link a screenshot of your UI (in combat, preferably in a raid), and/or a video of you playing:
My UI isn't very advanced at all. It's basically standard WoW UI, with the 3 addons I use being Omen, Recount and Grid. Grid doesn't help much as a DPS, but as a healer it does wonders.
List your computer's stats and your internet connection. Include average latency and FPS during raids: I'm switching computer soon (ordering it this very month), but my current is going at a "nice" 1,33GHz, 64 MB graphics and 2 GB RAM. Average latency is 50-100, with a few odd spikes a few times, while FPS seldom is above 15 in a raid. For your information, my new computer's stats are dual-core 2,66GHz, 512 MB graphics and 4 GB ram.
Explain your reasoning for being your current race if Alliance. If Horde, what race would you pick when you change?: I've played Human since I started playing WoW 4 years ago, mostly because of the feeling around the race. I also enjoyed playing Human in WarCraft 3. I still remain playing Human, both because of the 3 free expertise and it still having the right feel.
Risen Heroes and YouWhy do you want to join Risen Heroes?:
I have seen your invite macros, I have been in a raid with some of you, and many of my ex-guildies are in Risen Heroes now. As a result of these three factors, I wish to join you.
Tell us why we should give you a trial:
Not only do you recruit Arms warriors, which is just my spec, but I feel that I might be useful in your raids. I'm a nice guy, so I pass on stuff someone else needs more than me, and after a month or so I grow very loyal to the guild (subject to certain conditions).
What are your thoughts on beginning raids early and staying beyond the required raid times to down new content? Would you be available for occasional Friday / Saturday raids during progression?:
If I'm notified beforehand, I wouldn't mind joining raids earlier, but staying for very late isn't a very good option, as I have to get up very early in the morning.
How do you feel about sitting out when raid composition demands it?:
I don't mind. I've always said that I can sit out if someone else is more desirable and/or wants to raid.
Are you active in any non-raiding aspects of WoW like PVP, achievements, or alts? On average how many hours are you online each week?:
I'm cutting down recently, so I'm trying to go from my current 35-40 hours down to more like 20-25. But when I don't raid, I might PvP or level alts.
Do you know any raiders in Risen Heroes?: Yes, basically every former Anathema member, and I'm on friendly terms with most.
If accepted, do you see yourself raiding with us long term?: Most certainly. I don't like switching guild all the time, and if I like playing with someone, I keep playing with them.
Link (or tell us about) something that you found entertaining and/or interesting (don't worry if its slightly off-colour): Not finding what you're after on YouTube is seriously annoying. I'll link it once I find it.
Additional InformationDo you play any other games? Give us an idea of your general gaming background/history: My gaming history began back in the blessed year of 1999, when I got my first GameBoy. The game I got with it was The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, and I quickly developed a deep love for the series. Over the years, I tried other games as well, but found myself returning to Zelda again and again. I still play those games occasionally, and I'm greatly anticipating the Zelda game announced for the Wii.
Do you have a working microphone and headset, and are you willing & able to speak on Vent when required?: Headset, sure. Microphone does sound like a nuclear-powered fridge, but it's working, and I have no problems speaking over Vent.
Do you have a Blizzard Authenticator / iPhone attached to your account? Are you willing to purchase one?: I don't mind buying one, but I've got a new computer prioritized higher.
If there is anything else you would like to add, or you have any closing comments, include them here: My parents are control freaks, so that's what prevents me from joining all raids. No hard feelings... Just a little bit irritated.
Have you read and understood Guild Policies and Raid Information?: Yes, I have. I've accepted and started learning them by heart.
